Christiane was born and raised in Germany. She obtained her Veterinary degree from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1995. After that, Christiane worked at the Small Animal Department at the "Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover" and finished her Doctoral Thesis on ocular biometry in 2000. Followed by a one-year research stay at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on the topic of acoustic wave propagation velocities in ocular tissues. She conducted and completed her residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands and became a Diplomate in 2007. Christiane is currently working at the Evidensia Dierenziekenhuis Arnhem and De Graafschap Dierenartsen, Vorden. Christiane has a special interest in ocular ultrasound and equine ophthalmology.
