Sébastien Monclin graduated from the University of Liège, Belgium in 2003. After spending one year of rotating internship followed by a one year of specialized internship in ophthalmology and surgery at the same institution, he undertook a residency. Following completion of the residency, Sebastien moved to England to work in two different veterinary hospitals (in Maidstone and St Helens). He obtained the European Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2011. In 2012 Sébastien moved back to Belgium. He started to work part time in private practices and part time at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Liège where he finally lead the ophthalmology department. He is now working at the Centre Vétérinaire de Spécialistes Caladrius. Sébastien has been a member of the ECVO Education and Residency Committee, head of the belgian ECVO panel and is now a member of the Exam Committee
