Ladina became a veterinarian through the University of Zurich in 2005 and in 2006 she was a Doctorate Student in the Anatomic Department of the veterinary faculty, University of Zurich (Doctoral Thesis: Significance of the Golgi Apparatus on the Envelopment of Herpes Simplex Virus 1). She then completed an 1 year Internship in the Small Animal Clinic of the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich and in 2008 she joined a residency program in opthalmology at the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich with Prof. B. Spiess, Dr. M. Richter and Dr. S. Pot, which she completed in 2012. Ladina sat and passed her ECVO Certifying examination in 2013 and since March of 2012 she has been building up her own business in the east part of Switzerland. Her special interests are eyelid and corneal surgery.
