I’m from Lisbon, Portugal, and I have graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Technical University of Lisbon, in 2006. In 2007 I did a 12 month rotating Small Animal Internship in Medicine and Surgery at the Animal Health Trust, England. During the following 3 years I worked in general practice in England, attended several ECVO meetings, the William Magrane Basic Science Course in Veterinary and Comparative Ophthalmology (June 2010, North Carolina, USA) and obtained the General Practitioner Certificate in Ophthalmology by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (November 2010). In May 2011 I started my Residency in Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain.
