Sarah is currently head of the ophthalmology department at the Tierklinik Stuttgart Plieningen. She graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover in 2011. Sarah found her passion for ophthalmology during her internship and employment at the small animal clinic of surgery and reproduction, Ludwig-Maximillians-University Munich (LMU), where she also received a doctorate for her thesis on hereditary eye diseases in Dachshunds in 2014. She then completed her specialist clinical education doing a residency in Ophthalmology at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in England. Sarah is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (DipECVO) since 2022. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her husband and two kids and climbing.
