Minna Mustikka graduated from the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation, she briefly worked in mixed practice followed by a 12-month rotating internship in Equine medicine and surgery in 2013 at the University of Helsinki. She worked in a private equine practice from 2014 to 2017 and received a national specialist degree in Equine Medicine in 2017. During this time, she developed a strong interest in ophthalmology, and wanted to broaden her skills on this specialty in all veterinary species. From 2017 to 2022 Minna undertook her specialist training in veterinary ophthalmology in an alternative route residency training program at the University of Helsinki, Finland and the Royal Veterinary College, London, UK. She currently works as a clinical teacher in veterinary ophthalmology in the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
