Negar Hamzianpour was originally from the UK and graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011. She worked for several years as a general practitioner undertaking the RCVS advanced practitioner certificate in small animal ophthalmology before completing her formal specialist training. This included two internships (Royal Veterinary College and Willows Veterinary Centre & Referral Service) and a subsequent European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO) residency at the Eye Veterinary Clinic, Herefordshire under the direction of Christine Heinrich, Rachael Grundon and Rose Linn Pearl. Negar immigrated from the UK to Australia in 2021 to work at Eye Clinic for Animals in Sydney. In 2024, Negar joined SASH (Small Animal Specialist Hospital), Western Sydney to set up and lead the ophthalmology department in this hospital.
