I received my degree in 1995 from Munich Veterinary School in Germany. Straight afterwards, I moved to the UK where completed an Internship followed by a Residency in Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket. I hold Diplomas in Veterinary Ophthalmology from both the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (2001) and the ECVO (2005) and am both an active RCVS and ECVO Specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology. Following 15 years in multi-disciplinary referral practice, I took over the Eye Veterinary Clinic in Leominster, Herefordshire which I own and run together with Karen Walsh and Rachael Grundon. Eye Veterinary Clinic is one of the few independent Veterinary Referral Practices in the UK with a strong team of clinical Ophthalmologists. We run several ECVO residency training programmes and also enjoy helping Interns and visiting general practitioners to further their ophthalmological knowledge. I am an active UK eye panellist and have been on the steering committee for the BVA/KC/ISDS eye scheme for many years. I also have enjoyed being active for the ECVO college with over 10 years on the examination committee. My passion has been the teaching of Veterinary Ophthalmology not just to specialist trainees but also to general practitioners and I have lectured widely in the UK and internationally.
