My name is Alexia Cattaneo and since my graduation in Veterinary Medicine with full marks at the University of Milan (Italy) in 2008, I have been working mainly in the equine veterinary field. In 2010 I undertook an equine rotating internship at the Clinique Equine de Livet (France), and after working a couple of years in a very busy equine practice in Northern Italy, I started to work as a self-employed vet. After discovering the world of ophthalmology, I obtained the post-graduate certificate (Certificat d’Etudes Supérieures en Ophtalmologie Vétérinaire) at the University of Toulouse (France) in 2016. Since then, my interest in ophthalmology has grown and while participating in various courses, congresses, and externships, I started to work as a referral vet in equine ophthalmology. In January 2022 I started my Residency Training Program in Rome under the supervision of Dr. Adolfo Guandalini.
